Woke up @ 5.30am and although I was very tired, I was soooo excited to fly！ We left house around 6.30am and dad sent us to the airport. Reached the airport about 7 something & we had to be at the boarding area at 8.50am. It was quite cold that morning and especially in the airport. Kun also woke up early and accompanied us to the airport. Poor him...I guess he was tired that day. When we parted at the airport, was actually feeling a little sad (Haha always feel that way when you are departing at the airport).
The pictures taken on the first day were all very ugly because mum and I were very shagged. My clothes was not nice as well. hhee ~
Anyway, we were doing transit at HKG airport before flying to Taipei. We didnt choose the window seats on our way to HKG airport, so didn't manage to see outside. Although we woke up very early and slept quite late the night before, mum & I were talking and joking and laughed like mad on the plane. It took about 4 hours to reach HKG airport & we had to walk very far to transit. I didn't think HKG airport was THAT great (Singapore still best!)
When we reached Taipei airport, of course it does not look as nice as singapore or hkg airport, but not bad la..we took a few photos and changed a few hundered dollars at the money changer there, thinking of changing the rest in 西门町 or wherever. (In the end, we realised Taipei got no money changer!...)
Mum alrdy booked a transport service beforehand to fetch us from Taipei airport to our Motel (红菱阁饭店） It costs about SGD$55 but the guy helped us to carry our luggage up and down & was quite friendly. But I was also quite tired by that time, and it was drizzling in Taipei, so I wanted to close my eyes and rest but he was very talkative. -_-"
The motel was quite small but very clean. We were in Room 203 at the 2nd floor. The room was very clean and quite small, but the toilet was very big for the motel.
The bed was the first concern and it was DAMN HARD! They have so many TV programmes, meaning so many competitors as well..their TV commercials were also very funny! By the time we checked in and settled down, it was alrdy evening 5 something. So, we decided to just have a walk in the nearby 西门町.
Only shopped from 6 something to 11 something, we spent about SGD$600 over!!!! Can you believe it!? We couldn't believe it ourselves too! Scary man! So we told ourselves, WE CANNOT GO ON LIKE THAT! GOTTA CONTROL! We ate some of the push carts food and bought the pig intestine meesua back to the motel to eat. Yummy! It was nice!
Rested early so that we can begin our ACTUAL 1st day the following day!
P.S: The bed was really damn hard and the pillow was damn soft! Was not very comfortable the first night.
